Cactus Privacy Policy

Review what personal information Cactus collects, how it uses it, and how long it keeps it.

What Cactus collects

Cactus collects:

  • Your account name and email from the account you sign in with.

  • Sources an owner connects to a product: code repositories, a Help site, Intercom conversations, and Slack channels the owner picks.

  • Messages people send to Cactus on Slack and Discord.

  • Conversations people have with Cactus, including questions visitors ask on a published Help Center without an account.

  • Usage events and errors, including which pages are opened, which questions are asked, and whether an answer worked.

Slack sends Cactus an event for every message in a workspace where Cactus is installed. Cactus keeps messages only from channels an owner picked and drops the rest without storing them. On Discord, Cactus keeps only messages addressed to Cactus.

How Cactus uses it

Cactus uses this information to answer questions and write pages for the product. It doesn't train models on it, sell it, or give it to anyone for advertising.
