Import existing help and support knowledge

Import help content and Intercom conversations, review replies and pictures, and remove material you no longer need.

Import a Help Center

Import your existing Help Center. Cactus reads the listed articles and creates product questions for review.

Where Docs site or old help center sits on Imports
  1. In Settings › Imports, enter the address under Docs site or old help center.

  2. Select Import.

Connect Intercom

  1. In Settings › Imports, select Connect Intercom.

  2. Authorize the Intercom workspace. Cactus returns you to Imports.

Import conversations

In Settings › Imports, select Import conversations.

Cactus imports closed conversations from the past 365 days, newest first, up to 1,000. It turns conversation excerpts into product questions for review. The excerpts include messages written by customers and your team, but leave out internal notes, AI-agent replies, and workflow events. You can keep a team reply as a source note for future product answers.

Review old help topics

On Home, check how many topics from your old Help Center your docs cover. Under Probably gone, select Drop beside an outdated topic to remove it.

Review Intercom replies

Inspect imported replies before deciding whether to keep a team reply as a source note.

  1. In Settings › Imports, select Show beside the Intercom import.

  2. Read the question and reply under What the team answered.

  3. Select Keep this reply to attach the team reply as a source note.

You can also review replies on Home, under Your team answered this before. Select Keep to keep a reply, or Dismiss to dismiss the review.

Keep useful pictures

Under Pictures Cactus found in Settings › Imports, select Keep to allow a picture on help pages, or Drop to remove it from the kept set. Dropped pictures stay visible, so you can keep them again.

Remove an import

In Settings › Imports, select Remove beside the import run. This removes the saved import and its evidence from Cactus.

Disconnect Intercom

In Settings › Imports, select Disconnect in the Intercom row. Cactus deletes the imported conversation material and its import run. Material Cactus has already learned remains.
